Tick Twister® tick removal tools are instruments which have been designed for the safe removal of ticks from the skin of animals and people. Using Tick Twister® enables you to remove a tick quickly and painlessly.

By cradling the tick’s body without applying pressure to the abdomen, this minimises the transfer of tick-borne infections. Removing the tick in a twisting motion rather than pulling makes it a safe way to remove ticks completely! When using Tick Twister® to remove the tick, twist in whichever direction is most comfortable for you.

The Tick Twister® Minigrip Pack contains 3 Tick Twister® hooks, a large one for removing engorged ticks and a small one for removing very small ticks (from 1/10 of a millimetre) and one for even smaller nymph ticks.

Allowing the user to hold the tick without compressing it and to remove the tick using a twisting motion rather than pulling. This technique is safe and remove ticks completely!

Important Advice
If you get bitten by a tick, do not squeeze the tick, do not burn or smother it, do not try to kill the tick or put it to sleep with chemical products before removing it. You should never pull the tick. Instead, remove it with a twisting motion, without compressing it.

How to Use

• Choose the most suitable hook according to the size of the tick.
• Engage the hook by approaching the tick from the side until it is held.
• Lift the hook very lightly and turn it. The tick detaches by itself after 2 or 3 rotations.

Tips to remember: Do not try to kill the tick before removing it. Do not apply any product to the tick (alcohol, ether, soap, essential oils). Never pull the tick during removal. After removing a tick, it is recommended to disinfect the bite area with an antiseptic.

Tick removers can be washed in hot soapy water or cold sterilised.

Over Christmas, the web team at petplace will try to get your orders shipped to you as late as we can. Although 98% of our deliveries arrive within 1-3 working days; couriers are very busy this time of year and there could always be unforeseen delays.

You can click and collect from any of our stores over the festive week. The last guaranteed before Christmas delivery date is the 14th. If an item is out of stock and you continue to order we’ll attempt to get this to you as soon as possible as our suppliers have slowed or closed until the first week of January.

How Does Click & Collect Work?

Simply order and reserve your items online and select which store you want to collect from. When your order is ready, the store will contact you to confirm your order is ready for collection.

How Does Home Delivery Work?

Simply order your items online and our warehouse team will pick and dispatch your products quickly and securely with DPD. DPD will then notify you to let you know when they will be delivering your parcel.

How Long Will My Delivery Take?

Delivery is normally made within 2 working days of being dispatched.

We aim to get your order out to you as quickly as possible. If your order does not reach you after two/three days of ordering you can contact us on 01492 542662.

After your order has been dispatched we will send you a confirmation email which will include the tracking details of your parcel. If you would like a 1-hour delivery window on the day of delivery please make sure you add your mobile number to the order.
